Think it came from the Winstanley area.

I think it came from Bispham Brickworks at Billinge, I eem to recall it being moved in the late 70's.

When I was in Warrington, and actively involved with running community buses, I heard that Wigan's head of parks etc - and so in charge of Haigh Hall - got himself into trouble with Councillors for amassing a collection of industrial and transport artefacts without proper authority to purchase them (allegedly). I think his idea was to save the heritage and form some kind of industrial/ transport museum.
Perhaps this was part of his collection - does anyone know any more about this episode?
