I don't recall seeing this before. A wonderful photo of a bygone age, with the handcart.

We used to have a rushtons shop in worsley mesnes where I lived ,

Later became butchers shop remember it well I lived about 300 yards away

There was a Rushtons on the corner of Moss Road on't Moss which later became a Coop. When this shop became a butchers a bloke called Colin used to bring our meat.

I know Graham Coleman's comment was a few years ago now, but I just wondered whereabouts along St James Road this was taken?

Paul Gaskell - the Rushton's shop in the picture was number 2 St James Rd, on the corner of St James Rd and Holt St, just above the 'Grapes' traffic lights.
