Barry Greenall were based in Ashton in Makerfield. The car is a Ford Cortina and the truck is an ERF.

A friend of mine's barge collided with a car in the canal at Leigh It was 6" about under the water and not visible to him .and quite a shock

That shell would be worth a fortune now. Just think it would have probably gone straight to be breakers yard.

thats me with the blonde hair about 7 yrs old operating the winches for my dad
in them days we total lifted cars through the windows and lifted nr the front depending on the car and can guarantee it would have crushed the roof especially when full of water and would defo gone on the crush pile back then
