A watercolour painting I did recently from my 1996 pencil sketch.
The lean-to and open-ended barns have sadly gone for ever but the latter had made way for the huge snazzy barn which now enjoys pride of place.
The wooded areas have also changed dramatically; flourishing quite markedly.

Well captured Philip! Your use of water-colours is brill...Some terrific subjects around Billinge and Upholland to paint.
Dear Philip, I used to visit Maddox farm regularly in the 50s and 60s as my auntie Margaret and uncle Tom Petty farmed there and I believe my cousin Tom is still there. My grandfather and greatgrandfather also farmed there. I wondered if it would be possible to get a copy of your beautiful picture. I have many happy memories of climbing the hay bales a d collecting eggs.
