Ann, the farmer who lived there last was name Ormrod, he hung himself in the barn when the council took his land to build the Shevy council estate

Our family lived across the road from the farm on gathurst Lane, I remember the morning they found him hanging, it was tragic. We used to help out at haymaking time.
