POSTCARD SHOWING SLAG HEAPS IN WIGAN. LOOKS LIKE BLUNDELLS COLLIERIES IN PEMBERTON. WHAT WE CALLED THE "YO YO"?

Possibly on the Goose Green side, around Lady Lane, Ron?

Could it be the Slag Heaps at top of Belle Green Lane - Kirkless area Ince ?

Three Sisters at Bryn?

I'm pretty sure it's not Blundells, or as we used to call the area. 'The Tips'

Could be the early formation of the actual Yo-Yo.

It could be anywhere in the Wigan area

One slag heap looks like another however this is a big one,so logic dictates a very large pit nearby,Mick with goose green area could be a good guess, also loz with three sisters,When I was a youngun I used to play on a very large slag heap that became three sisters I remember the bull dozers putting them in heaps that was in Harold Wilsons era.

does not remind me of blundells in the late 50's/early 60's ,but it does have the railway line running the right way across goose green, bottom of duke st/ladies lane.
