That's beautiful Ray..I've just got some acrylics..used to painting in oils,I haven't tried them yet,but if I can paint a quarter as good as that I'll be more than happy.
Good composition Ramondo.
Its a good medium to paint with alongside water-colours!
You'll be fine Maureen.
Giovanni..you're a gem.
Like i said on the Guestbook Ray's painting of Hindley make the Memories come flooding back .I was born a stone throw frfom this painting .Iremember proper snow in 1963 it was up to the window sill of our house in All Saints Grove, but guess what we still went to school ,not like today, kids are too molycoddled. The old All Saints School(just off this Photo)was very cold ,we used to thaw out our little bottles of milk on the radiators.Happy Days thanks Ray.
Grazie tipo senora!
Colin it's not the kids fault, when they ARE stopped from going to school they are all out in the snow knocking spots off each other like we did. The fault is 'the compensation society' eager to get money in every way possible, therefore the schools are forced to shut their gates in case a child slips in the snow and injures him/herself and the school ends up with a massive claim. If parents were asked to sign a no liability form then i think we would see more schools stay open when there is snow. A very pleasant scene Ray and well painted.
Does anyone remember a teacher named william Bithell from hindley area he taught me art at moss lane school platt bridge then spring view he then finally tea che'd at rose bridge school he taught me from1962 to 1966 reminded me of him looking at ray's excellent piaintings
