Sunday afternoon swim in the canal at Dover Lock. I think the date is the 60's

Looking at the styles of clothes etc, I think this could be the scorching summer of 1976, Paul.

I agree; the fashions are consistent. I remember that Summer of '76 so well. I worked at Debenhams and was expecting my first baby. There was no air-conditioning in Debenhams then, and I was on the top floor with no windows. I worked all through that Summer and the day I left it rained! I lived in Abram but don't recall these canalside scenes.
You could be right with the 70's, but probably not the summer of 76 as I think I was in Africa that summer.

I remember swimming in Dover Lock in the 60's. We sat outside pub in sun to dry off with a layer of muck and oil all over us.
