Ken Morley (Corrie's Reg Holdsworth) stepping out of a Limo in style to re-open the Elizabeth Furnishing's store in Wigan. Date: May 1993. Long before he starting doing those Safestyle UK ads. The store has long since gone, believed destroyed by fire.

It was on Sat.22nd May 1993. Entry in my diary reads:-
"Saw Ken Morley who plays Reg Holdsworth in Coronation Street open Elizabeth Mills Furniture Store etc.at 11.10 had champagne and lemonade."
He arrived in an American limousine - not a stretched one though!

He was my teacher and was a nasty piece of work. Bully and a big head to match. !

Never knew he was a teacher. Not many people liked their teachers though. Can't imagine him being a bully though, he seemed one of the boys and a good laugh. At least he seemed popular that day as lots of people turned up, unlike when John Savident (Fred Elliott) opened up a bathroom showroom near Woodhouse lane in 2003, there was barely anyone there. I don't watch soaps anymore though thank god.
