This photo was my mum Alice Lomax in the centre, on the left Hilda Lyon. The lady on the right I don't know. Working on the pit brew at Garswood Hall colliery. Not sure of the exact year but around 1940s/50s

Joyce, what was your Dads name? I was a Lomax, my Dad was Jimmy Lomax, came from Park Lane, ( Cox Lump)...If I remember right, he worked at Garswood Hall in the 4os 50s ....

Joyce, I was asking for your Dads name so I could look it up to see if we were related at all or maybe your Mum was a Lomax before she got married...

Stephen, I don't think so... the ones I remember are Garswood Hall, Stones's, Windy Arbour and Parkside...Then he left the pits in the early 60s and went on the buses, Wigan Corp..
