The building you can see behind The Parish Chuch with windows along the top is Lowes , the top floor was the workroom .Notice the lions head below the row of windows this was taken from the front of a The White Lion public house when it was incorporated into the store . This was a time when you considered yourself highly inconvenienced if you had to park somewhere such as here or Upper Dicconson St when you wanted to go somewhere in the town centre.
