Who undoubtedly grew up to be fine, upright citizens. Great photo.

Jean, BRILLIANT What a great set of photos. These are the sort of photos we want more of.

Hi Jean looked on here regular, even put the photo on with names, glad to see one of my school friends using the internet

Thanks Eileen, I know a lot of the names but not all. Can you remember the instructions we had to pose with our arms crossed?

Comment by: JB on 4th April 2014 at 14:42

With 41 in the class, folding arms may have ensured everyone fitted on one photo! Usually one class teacher, probably no "assistants" in those days that's what you'd term a handful. Small wonder that class size has always been a red hot topic with teachers.

Just found this photo! The little girl 3rd from the right on the 2nd row from the front is my sister Sally Bould, not Webster. She was a nurse all her life, married and had 4 children and numerous grandchildren. She is a well known poet in Lancashire dialect and still performs regularly with her husband Ron as the Tin Pot Poets.

Yes I am on there too. A lot of memories for me. Thanks to Jean Derbyshire's husband for informing me about this.

By any chance does anyone know the boy 3rd row up 3rd boy in from the left?
We believe this could be my grandad George higham (we’ve always called him Eddie)
