Unrebuilt Patriot Class 4-6-0 No.45524 "Blackpool" runs towards the coaling stage at Springs Branch Engine Shed 1952
That's one of few photographs which show the (now demolished) Welsh Methodist Chapel on Taylors Lane in quite a bit of detail.

Reverend. Spent many Sundays in the mentioned chapel. First taken there in about 1937, by Charlotte Aindow. Her parents' lived next door to mine, in Spring View. A couple of years later she went as a missionary to Africa. on her return to this country, she later became, the Sister I/c the maternity ward, at Billinge Hospital.
