LMR 2-6-4 Tank,although the number isn't fully shown my brother states it as 42641 of Wigan L&Y shed,approaching the Iron Bridge at Hindley with a stopping train 1951

Well that's one loco out of my model stock that I will need to renumber and doesn't the 8F look in pristine condition.( see my thread in Messageboards/ Hobbies or Books / My Model Railway )

Simply a "Tank" as we used to call them in my train spotting days,.....another lifetime ago!

Tank engines were great going in reverse aswell as forward, even on long runs, designed mainly for branch lines.
