Was this the time when they were developing the site into the heritage centre? (Wigan Pier). Is it still a heritage centre,or has it been redeveloped into something else?

Is this the position of the "Tippler"?
If so it is clearly missing here, was it removed, renovated and replaced or is the current "Tippler" an 80's reproduction?

The current Tippler was an addition in the 1980s, Phil.
