This Valentine`s post card was sent to me in 1939 whilst staying with an aunt in North Reddish, near Stockport. The King George VI postage stamp cost 1d.
This is same as that submitted by Graham Taylor (last on page 3), but is in monochrome and the number G.8703, also the title, are in different places.

Looks like theres a church spire sticking up, I dont think its the church that is still opposite the old B&Q

Mick, I think the church spire you are referring to would be wht was St. Thomas's C.of E. church.

Mick (my namesake) - that will be St Thomas's church that used to be just off Caroline St, on the opposite side to the existing St Joseph's church.
