Back row,3rd left Margaret Haines,-- 4th left Gladys Crompton . They were the best of friends at ABRAM junior
school,I was also in the same class and i remember them
well. They were my first crushes at school, they were
both gorgeous looking girls and to think if one of them had
played their cards right they could have finished up with
me,[HA HA],
Seriously though i hope both girls are fit and healthy
today, wherever they may be.

The girl next to Gladys Crompton is Joan Haines, Margaret's younger sister. Gladys and Margaret were both my best friends at junior school and grammar school. Gladys married Brian Curran, whom she met at college, and they live in Warwickshire. Margaret married Alan Blackburn, but unfortunately died a few years ago. Jimmy Housley and Denise Dearden were children of my mother's cousins - Helen Housley [nee Dearden] and Irene Dearden.

Think that Gladys Crompton may have been at St John's Abram School same time as myself & my twin brother, Jimmy. Also remember Valerie Bullough?
