Has it always been an Infirmary?

Yeah it's always ben an hospital. It opened in 1873 at a cost of about 30 grand and named after Queen Victoria's son Albert Edward who was then Prince of Wales.

Thanks Graham, there just seemed to be a lot of children stood around the entrance and I wondered if it had been a school, but obviously not.
