Brilliant, i was there, he died 11 months later. I, and i,m sure many others still play his music.

Yes, he was brilliant and his music still sounds great today. I can remember the words: 'Mourn for Buddy Holly' which had been written on the billboards in Ince(near to where Grayway Coaches are now in Manchester Road) when he sadly died in the plane crash.I would have been nearly 8 years old then.Unfortunately,the only connection I have is seeing the performance of'The Buddy Holly Story' at Liverpool Empire where everyone was up dancing in the aisles
