Here's Mike Barton's photo enhanced a little. I reckon it looks better in black & white.
I have a great picture of this colliery done in charcoal. my nephew bought it for his parents for their anniversary, he then gave it to me after their deaths. It stands next to another one, coloured, of the Market Hall entrance.

Hi Jim, I think you are right Black and white does look better. I came across the brochure the other day, when I was having a clear out. The original was printed in brown and white, sepia fashion, which I just scanned. Needless to say but the brochure hasn't gone to the recycling bin.
