No matter what afternoon I go past there the car park is always full, must be a lot of Boozers in Wrightington.

Hi Josie if you go down Toogood lane you will come to it in the dip just past a church set back on Church Lane. which is on your right. My grandma lived in Toogood Lane and in the 1950's it was called The Windmill. It's a few years since I was in there but it's well worth a visit.
In the 1970's used to go to the Brook House and spent many a happy hour sitting in the tap room with all the owd uns listening to their stories.

It was the Windmill but was always known by the locals as "The Brookhouse" Sadly it has gone the way of many pubs and is now closed and is at present being considered for convertion to a private residence
this used to be a very beautiful place, its so sad now its closed used to go a lot just been up to see it so sad to see it emptyxxxxxxxx
