I can't work out which way this facing but my Aunty Greta & Uncle George Bryson lived in a 3 story house like the ones in the photo. Dicconson St had those tall houses either side when I lived there for a while.

On looking again, I see the Methodist school in the background boarded up ...so where the open space is must have been where the chuch was & the houses pictured would have been on the opposite side of the strett from the Brysons. Have I got it ?

helen i think the multi story car park occupies this same spot at the rear of heart foudations furniture shop (smiths)
looking towards pedestrian crossing roughley where tall tree is church is hidden by newer town houses
