I think one is were my grandfather lived in 1900 till his death in 1954. The address was No 3 Factory yard, off Manchester Road.

Can anyone confirm this location?

Daniel if your Grandfather was George Houghton and a bricklayer ((j)= journeyman time served at his trade) then yes he did reside at 3 Factory Yard. This Yard was near Jackson Street near to where Ince Central school is now. You can see who his neighbours where in 1925/6 on the Ince Directory in the "STUFF" section at the top of this page next to "Photos of Wigan".

daniel, there was a factory fold in ince, ive not heard of factory yard but im'e sure someone may know ,and it was right by manchester rd near ince park,your pick looks like clarington brook to me ? the crispin pub being down at the bottom near the charabanc.

yes Joseph you are right about my grandad,he was a
brick setter journeyman,.Please have anyone any more info,
