As a child, on trips from Wigan to Southport I always found this sign comical, with its talk of 'Larger Toilets'. I took this picture of my Daughter Helen ( now 43yrs old } and my wife Marian 40yrs ago and I still find the sign comical.

We went to the Pleasure beach a lot as teenagers....loved the Big Dipper there.

You wouldnt think there would have been catering for fat women in them days.
In Southport's heyday charas would be arriving by the minute - Larger Toilets were definitely needed - especially if the parties had stopped off at one of the 'Halfway Houses' en route.

I remember that sign!
I have just seen your comment tricia. I also remember the big dipper ( the CYCLONE! ). There didn't seem to be much in the way of health and safety in those days ( early 1950s ) but we survived!
