Has anybody got photos of the houses opposite st john,s church hall,i used to live at no 12 next door to the shoe shop.

St. John's hall, part of it was used as the school dining room for St John's school but there was also a large hall used for school plays and also by St. John's Operatic society

I used to help with the lights and scenery with Hindley Operatic there in the seventies just before it changed to the antiques place.

One of our first bookings (gigs) was here.
Oggie & The Membranes, a Sunday afternoon in 1964. It was good, a bit special, the place was not much to look at but a nice atmosphere.
