wellington street was on the right but so was the fleece this was lower down,the building that was demolished on the right side was the angel Inn,the pub across the road was the kings Arms

the pub was the shamrock not the kings arms

The pub was the Kings arma landlord Francis Charnock and next door in the picture was Dan Rourkes (former Mayor) grocers shop. My auntie Ellen Rourke was a former teacher at ST. Pats school.

spot on liz my grandparents ran the kings arms in the 1920s
and during world war2

The pub on the corner facing was the Shamrock.

Just looking at where The Angel pub was the stone step is still there!
