where abouts was this pic taken, as in the area as it is now?
was this the only pit in Pemberton? If someone lived in Scot Lane in 1890 would the men of the house have worked there?

I WOULD DEFINATELY SAY SO MARIANE THE VAST NUMBER OF MEN WORKED AT BLUNDELS JUST PAST PEMBERTO STATION TODAY WERE THEY ARE BUILDING ALL THOSE NEW HOUSE'S ON AS FOR MYSELF I WOULD NOT LIKE TO LIVE ON TOP OF WHAT I KNOW TO BE UNDERNEATH THEM!
