Another shot of the same Rugby League Cup final of 1928 at Central Park. In the background a factory whose name I don't have, when I went to watch Wigan, in the late 1940's and early 1950's it was the space used by Calderbanks scrap yard.

on a 1928 map of wigan,the mill could be the water heyes cotton mill.

Thank you Betty but I think Water Heyes was a little further along. Just by pure chance I've come across a photo which identifies it as Ranson's Mill. I'll put this photo onto the site.

i think it was an old jam works because my grandmother told me she worked near central park inthe early thirties and it was a jam works

Was the Jam Factory Deakin's Jam? If yes it was my grandmother's family
