No, this house is still there I think? So is the bend in the road, the OLD SPRINGS is about 200 yards behind the camera The camera being opposite the Lorry entrance to HEINZ

This photograph appears to have been taken on the Gathurst side of Lathom Lane which is quite a way from the goods entrance.Among the trees in the centre is what was then Orrell Hall (now Deanwood Manor)Behind the camera to the right is a house which I always heard referred to as the red house.
