In the mid fifties, Granddad would take me to Home Farm, just left of this picture, to buy eggs. We would walk back home through Townfields and the bowling greens.

Very idyllic, shame it's all gone. Now full of big fancy expensive detached houses on the Woodedge estate and Liverpool Road for the rich crowd.
