That must be the White House in the centre of the photo with the old warehouse to the right and Thomas Cromptons on the left great photo Janice thanks for the memories. David
I lived in Ince so don't know this area, and yet it reminds me of my own childhood, as do your lovely memories, Janice.
AHHHH, memories memories and all of them good..Lovely Janice, thanks for putting it on...How are you and fam? I never did see pics of our cookout and walk down memory lane...was a lovely night though..Thanks again!!
Irene, this is where I grew up, have many of the same memories as you, just in a different place...
Thanks janice, all the memories come flooding back i really loved blue bell wood spent all my childhood in there.
Another great photo Janice. Probably late 40's because you can see the roof of the first pair of semis on the, then, new council estate. Graham Boyle lived in the first house and Hendlys in the second.I think every lad in D.G. spent many happy hours in 'Bluey Wood' but you had to be careful that neither Jack Lyon nor Esther Fearns were working their respective fields because they owned the wood between them and didn't take kindly to trespassers.
Thanks, glad you all enjoyed the photo. Yes thanks Janet we are all well hope you are all the same. I will email the photos to you there are some good ones from our walk. Hope we will see you again soon.
Thanks Janice, I'm looking forward to seeing them...
