Best Fish and Chips in Wigan.........mushy peas and a mug of tea.........with bread n butter. Mouth watering thinking of it.........what a loss. Tom Wallies pet shop was were this fence is in the picture before it moved to the rear of the Fish and Chip Shop in the picture.

Ah brings back memories.Went into Liz Elastics every week!Sewing one thing or another. You could get anything at Lizs & cheap.Borough Chippy was great when the shopping was done,just sat down in cafe for a chat and fantastic fish,chips & mushy peas.Yum.

The photo must be early 80s ,the boarded up doorway was the entrance to mr ms and gerrys inn this must have been taken after the casino closed in 1981
