this is me on alans scooter a lambretta series 3 a bit better than the one he had on the other pic ha ha,it was taken in the fields on hemfield rd hr ince nearer the iron bridge,does anyone know what the square building on left is year was june 1969.

The square building Josie, is a ventilation shaft for the California pit. The deep pit is to the left, the two cars parked will almost certainly be fishermens vehicles. Another pit building vent now capped, was next to the iron bridge railway line. At the back of the trees is Hindley Hall Golf club.
