There were three pairs of semi's before they were demolished for the new road.

One of my old school friends Alan Parkinson used to live in this street his back yard backed onto the canal towpath.

I know Alan very well. We lived in the terraced house which stood just on the corner of Walmsley Ave and Poolstock, just facing where the blue car is on the photo.
