This piece of land was situated between the canal, (1st lock down from Britannia bridge) and a 'Wood yard'. It was known locally as the 'Sloppy pitch' because of its permanently wet condition.

I think this is the pitch at the back of st pats club which use to be the schools dining hall and was a great pitch before grass was invented, at least it was level
