There's been talk of re-opening this station for the past twenty years now, and there's still no signs of it re-opening.

I used to walk across that bridge each day from 1956 to 1959 on my way to the infants school (St Thomas' Parochial School I think it was called), but used to go home to Sycamore Avenue via the rail bridge onto the 'bonkin' to look for fossils and found some good ones as well. Many more memories but that is for another time eh!
