Another view from car park of the old rugby ground

Again another gem, Looks like Wigan wss playing Leigh next game with the poster on the front wall, said poster was a mainstay until Central Parks downfall. Never seen the Douglas stands roof not painted in cherry and white stripes, and have never had a pint of Magee's Ale on the sdvertisment board above the turnstiles, before my time, but again a really interesting image.

i wonder whatever happened to the 'honours boards' outside the old pavilion. There were two with the clubs achievments and one with a name of tourists. Did these not end up in the Griffin?
Thinking about it these were simple glass cases and yet in all my years supporting Wigan at CP i can never recollect these cases ever being damaged or defaced. 'Rugby Respect'
