I recognise the lady first left wearing glasses. I think her name was Finch but can't remember her first name. She and her husband and family all attended St. Nat's....church, boys' brigade etc......and appear on a video I have of old Platt Bridge Walking Days. A lovely family.

... and sat next to her is Miora(sp?) Gregson

Myra Gregson now runs the Wigan Veterans Office which is based in the Community Centre in Platt Bridge. The other lady Kathlenn Finch has now passed away and she used to live at the top of Walthew Lane with her husband and 3 children

Ahhh... I used to know her son, Rodney Finch... he was a few years ahead of me in Moss Lane School. I know the exact house you are talking about, the very last before the bridge.

Thanks for correcting Myra's name as well, I struggled a bit on that one. :-D

Would the Finch boys mentioned be Vicky Finch's brothers?

Hi Iam Patricia Taylor's daughter and she is turning 70 this year and we are looking for older photos of her, as she crowned our lady on the walking days? Do you remember her and have any pictures of her?
