Pemberton Station 1966 looking west,notice a small wooden shelter for Liverpool bound passengers and Wigan bound have better facilities.

I remember it well.1961-1973 Saturday luch time in the Railway for a couple of pints. Then on the train to Kirkdale to watch Everton. Happy days...

I can remember these buildings when I used to go to my Aunties who lived in Little Lane.

Lovely pic, Ron. I don't know this particular station but love the old lamp and the station buildings. Wish stations were still as atmospheric. Ince Station was lovely when I was a child, but is now just a staff-less,soul-less platform where you don't feel safe these days.

My mate and I wouls buy a single from Wallgate in the late 60's, just for the ride. Didn't knoe the times of the 19/Windy Harbour bus. So, would walk to Pem'. Enfield Street seemed never endind. How fit we were!!!

Remember it we'.1961/62 caught train to go to work at Pimbo Lane brickworks by Upholland station
