The Palace Cinema is the building on the right. Derby Arms Hotel is the round cornered building on the corner

Ron, wouldn't that have been the Brewery on the right

I believe it used to be a Brewery before a picture house

On an old map this building is given as The Wigan Brewery, the central arch was a gateway to the yard at the back.
Further down next door on the corner of Chapel Lane opposite The Derby Arms is a pub, The Brewers Arms.
I remember the Palace Cinema being quite a long low building, what a incredible building to demolish to put up a cinema.
