Great pictures Dave. I remember walking across it just before it was opened - I was only a kid, but I recall it well.
Really like your pictures Dave. This very part of the bridge still haunts me every time I go over it. Back in the early seventies my brother and a friend where on our way back from fishing on the river ribble when it started to rain quite hard. The car aqua- planed full circle from the fast lane to the slow lane right on top of the viaduct. No more to be said............

I also remember walking on the motorway before it was opened at age 14.
How nice to see the open countryside as I remembered it before the MWay, although what would we do without it now.!
