Can anyone date this pic for me ? I think it was maybe in the early 90's. My Dad, William Bradshaw was back in Wigan after a long time away for a nostalgia trip with my brother Ian. Were The Galleries built when this was taken ?

Hi Helen, i think this is the market as it is today, work was started in 87/88, not to sure but think galleries was started at same time, but will obviously stand corrected by people with more knowledge, i remember uncle joes moving from here to possibly crompton st, facing the old debenhams, good days.

Hi Dave, Yes, the new market hall opened in January '88. The Galleries opened later. 1989?
I worked for a time in the Market Hall at my father-in-laws cafe and often bought Uncle Joe's at the old Market Stall. This photo looks very up market!
