According to the census records 1871, Mowpin Lodge was once the residence of George Staveley (b.1818) also featured on this website (#31947).
George lived there with his wife Ellen and their 9 children.
His son John (b.1848) also featured on this site (#31954) married Jane Highton in 1873.
His son James (b.1860) married Mary Shearer in 1873. James was my great grandfather.
