1963. Looking across Fouracres fields to Hall Lane Cottages and Springpool. The pit road to Summersales Colliery cuts across 2/3 way up. The path to the right went up to Heyes Bridge.

My God! I'd forgotten just how cold the 60's winters were until I saw this Photograph. I can almost feel the cold, just looking at it.
