1963. George Ackers and Duke turning hay on the field behind Highfield View. The field was known as The Triangle Pad - because it was 3 sided between the backs of Highfield View, the Trangle Pad to the NE coming down from Heyes Bridge to Billinge Road (the Venture) and the path to the NW going from Billinge Road (the junction with the pit road going to Summersales Colliery) to Heyes Bridge. The boards to the middle right surrounded Venture Lodge (which had swans every year)- now the site of the Venture pub. The chimney in the background was Enfield Mill, off the top of Enfield Street.
