Another good one Derek. I believe the old wooden building was where they kept the little steam loco's. I think I'm right !
The wooden shed did house both a steam and diesel loco around this time. I and my mate (Geoff Haughton) who both live in Duke Street Goose Green used to go and help the bloke who owned them to clean them and stoke up the steam loco. I'm sure there was a short stretch of trach that went towards Pemberton from the shed and he would steam gingerly along and back it.. Used to go home filthy and stinking of oil. Oh happy days!

That pit ruck in the middle in my view was a hard climb in places it was steep but when ontop you felt like king of the world and chuffed you'd made it you could see for miles great photo brings fond memories thank you!
