I used to work next door at the caravans and our dinnertime was the local chippy and pies from browns shop across the road.
But then one landlord started doing pub dinners so some of us started going in the white lion some days
That is indeed a grand picture there Barry, you have'nt half made me smile seeing that. Thanks for sharing.
PS I had better come clean - be honest, I have pinched it to squirrell in to my little treasure of pics, it is now sat in my pictures. Thank you very glad Barry, precious memories for me there.
What year was this photo taken barry....? I had a lot of good times in here back in the early 80s...good pic by the way.

I lived in Howard St. which was the next street down Worsley St. I remember one day a gang of us were walking past as the Dray Men wer delivering the beer. In a crate we saw bottles of Grapefruit juice. We begged the Dray Man to give us a bottle, which in the end he did. Me being 'THE BOSS' grabbed the bottle opened it and took a BIG swig. It turned out not to be Grapefruit juice but Finnings, which they put in the beer. I have never been as sick in my life. The Dray Men were rolling about laughing. Happy Days
