I would say it was taken from the Queen Anne the building in the background is Harbens silk mills

I agree that it was probably taken from the Queen Ann and close to the opening where the Methodist Sunday School was built on the left hand side (not sure what year). I was born just down the street on the left in one of the little cottages (1948), two weeks before my parents moved to Newton-Le-Willows. My mum's family were the Boydell farmers.

yes this is taken from the front of the queen anne, i use to live at number 40 bridge street which is the tall house where you can see the chimney, mrs spiby and mrs bridge was my neighbour
