They don't make cars like this anymore!

The very first suit my parents ever bought me was from Burton's, and I remember the hamburgers in Woolies! I loved them!

I left Wigan in 1966 and came to Australia,(Where I've been ever since). This is the Wigan I remember! and in my opinion is what "Wiganworld" is all about, fond memories, and a trip down memory lane. Great photo!

the car coming up Standishgate and waiting for people to cross looks like a Standard Vanguard My first car was a 1949 Vanguard KLR471, You always remember your first one!!

The one crossing the street in the middle i think is a Triumph Mayflower

The one in front of the Triumph is a Morris Minor--my first car, brand new in July 1958.

Was there a pub on the same side as Burtons but abit lower down and before you got to Pendleburys
