Central Park, October 1938 on the evening of the Lancashire Cup victory against the red hot favourites Salford who they had beaten that afternoon at Station Road, Swinton. Everyone was delighted and gathered for a celebration at the clubhouse. My father is on the top row just to the right of Jim Sullivan who is holding the Lancashire Cup.

My Great Grandad Tommy McCarty DCM, Wigan trainer from 1919 to 1939 is squatting immediately to the left of the cup.
